FOR MECHANICAL SYSTEM NOISE
IDEAL APPLICATIONS
dB Lag minimizes airborne noise from mechanical systems, plumbing pipes, and air ducts. It also has a wide range of temperature tolerance.
- Commercial and residential construction
- Apartments and condominiums
- Hotels
- Schools
- Industrial sites
PERFORMANCE ATTRIBUTES
SOUND BLOCKING
Specially designed material reduces disturbances from airborne mechanical noise in commercial, Industrial, and residential air handling equipment. Can be used with or without insulation duct wrapping.
VERSATILE
Can be installed around plumbing pipes as well as air ducts and has a wide range of temperature tolerance
FIRE RESISTANT
Conforms to ASTM E 84 Fire Resistant Standard to provide another level of protection, Rated Class A.
MOISTURE CONTROL
Does not contain organic compounds to harden, deteriorate or support mold growth; acts as an impermeable moisture and air barrier for improved HVAC efficiency.
FLEXIBLE
Material provides a dense, flexible layer of protection to wrap pipes and ducts
AMERICAN MADE
Manufactured from materials sourced in the United States and produced in our North Carolina manufacturing facility

PREPARATION & APPLICATION*
- Surfaces to receive dB Lag should be clean and dry.
- For maximum sound reduction wrap ducts or pipe with 1 0r 1.5” fiberglass insulation prior to installation of the dB Lag.
- Install with the foil side facing away from the duct or pipe being wrapped. Overlap the seams 1.5”.
- Secure the dB Lag with plastic ties, metal ties or foil faced acrylic adhesive tape.
