IMPACT NOISE REDUCTION

The flexible polyester layer of dB4 MAX isolates and reduces impact noises. The ideal application is under the finish flooring where it reduces footfall noises to spaces below. Results are best when insulation is installed in the floor cavity and the ceiling material below is resiliently attached. The mass barrier layer reduces voices and music form the rooms above

MOISTURE CONTROL

dB4 MAX is considered an impermeable material as it allows only minute amount of water to pass through.  The perm rating is less than .004. A material is considered impermeable with a perm rating of .1 perm or less.

Add a layer of moisture protection as well as sound isolation to your Floors with dB4 products.

FLEXIBLE

Polyolefin used in many products that require flexibility like catheter tubing and connectors, footwear, toys, milk carton coatings, food packaging, etc.

This ensures that the dB4 products are not only flexible enough to be effective, but long-lasting as well.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND

Db4 is a combination of calcium carbonate to create mass and Polyolefin elastomer to bind the calcium particles into a flexible sheet. Calcium is crushed limestone and polyolefin elastomer (POE) is synthetic rubber.

Polyolefin is BPA-free, one of the safest types of plastic for food products, and more, so you can feel good about dB4 products for your home or business.

Our production process produces high quality products with almost zero waste–any unused product or trimmed excess is ground and reused.

AMERICAN MADE

dB4 MAX mass components, including the calcium carbonate and the Polyolefin elastomer are mined and manufactured in the US. The finished product is made in our facility in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

We are proud of our history of supporting the local economy and providing quality products for over 75 years.
