PREPARATION & APPLICATION*
- Surfaces to receive dB3 Lite should be clean and dry
- Installers should utilize acoustical sealant, tape, sound rated putty and sound isolation materials to preserve acoustical integrity; do not use dB3 Lite within two feet of light fixture
- Install vertically so seams fall on studs
- Attach at the top only with screws and staples; dB3 Lite will be secured permanently when finished wall is fastened
- dB3 Lite may be used on existing finished walls and covered with another layer of drywall
- dB materials can be stiff and less pliable at low temperatures; they are best installed at or above room temperature

COMMERCIAL NOISE BLOCKING
dB3 Lite was designed to provide maximum sound reduction for light framed metal construction as used in many commercial buildings. Laboratory acoustic testing proved that dB3 Lite out performs other acoustic solutions when used with 20- or 25- gauge metal framing. The testing revealed how the flexibility of the metal framing and the superior damping characteristics of dB3 Lite combine to achieve high STC ratings.

dB3 components including the calcium carbonate and the Polyolefin elastomer are mined and manufactured in the US. The finished product is made in our facility in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.
